Shhhh....they're asleep....

Driving to pick up one child from a friend's house in New Hampshire.  Other child comes with. On the way home--listening to tunes...and I glance back--one child asleep in the back seat.

I look to my right--the other one sleeps next to me.  I am a mother driving my two sleeping children home.  Old feelings surface and I want to just hold them tight.  

I dare to grab hold of his arm in a "hug" and tell him I love him.  I says he loves me too.

I am happy.
