Ode to my old exercise equipment...
This is a picture of the old elliptical machine at my work. My old work. As in, I took this picture the last time I was there. Because I missed this machine. And the fitness room. Because it was a small, private room in the building of my old work. This machine helped me lose 70 lbs. (and I so need it now to help me lose it again!)
I miss it. Many were the times that I could be found during my lunch hour, watching "Judging Amy" or "What Not To Wear" or "Barefoot Contessa" or the occassional "Buffy" or "Dr. Who" while working up a tolerable sweat on this machine.
(Well, my new work doesn't have a fitness room--but it does have 3 very steep flights of stairs!)

I would love it if my work had a workout room!
Wow...very cool machine. I would love to have access to an exercise room...but steep stairs are the next best thing.
I wish my work had one...no stairs either. Guess they figure lifting patients is enough. Oh well.
And btw, I loved Judging Amy! So sad it's not on anymore.
My work has a gym in the building, but I'm having a lot of trouble with the idea of spending any more time here (and away from Harry) than I absolutely have to. And since my job doesn't have set hours (more like you stay until you're done-ish), that's what going to the gym involves. Which is why I have gotten little to no exercise in months. Which is sad.
That's a nice piece of equipment! Sorry you aren't able to use it anymore. Stairs will do the trick though! or maybe your boss will give you a HUGE raise AND bonus and you can get one for home ;o)
*HUGS*
wow 70 pounds??? impressive. i wish my work had one
Why do I suddenly feel like a slug sitting here?
Yay for your stairs :-)
I used to walk up 12 floors and down (24 flights) at my old office building. It was great exercise.
You know I have never worked at a place that offered me so much...what a nice tribute and I hope that the new stairs do the task!
